A. A. Zaura foundation has embarked on providing free medication to Kano State indigene with a view to provide healthcare to the most vulnerable in the society.
A.A Zaura foundation is an initiative of AbdulKareem AbdulSalam, a philantrophists with an aim to assist the downtrodden in many spheres of their life.
A.A. Zaura media director, Al-Amin Ciroma in a statement revealed that the free medication is a holistic project tagged ‘Zaura Health Initiative for All (ZH4ALL).
Ciroma explained that the scheme, though flagged off and commenced at Zaura Babba community of Ungogo local government area, is planned to go round all the 44 local government areas of Kano State.
The intervention and treatment, which is to run throughout the 44 local government areas of Kano State are expected to provide free medical treatment to millions of people with various ailments, which include free OPD drugs, general check-ups, and provision of eye problems medication. Accordingly, over 500 people have so far benefited from the initiatives.
Zaura said the health scheme is a contributory healthcare initiative tagged ZH4ALL, with an absolute commitment to ensuring all residents in Kano State have access to quality health service without suffering financial hardship.
He said, his intention as a philanthropist and humanitarian, had helped him immensely in constituting an appropriate system and adopted scheme into the sector with competent professionals into health care delivery to ensure successful implementation of the scheme.
