Banditry allegation just a hoax suspended member – Anka

Two members of Zamfara state House of Assembly, Yusuf Muhammad Anka and Ibrahim Tukur Bakura, have been suspended from the state House of Assembly for three months pending the conclusion of investigations on allegation of banditry Involvement leveled against them.
The two members represents Anka and Bakura consultancy in the state house of assembly.
The suspended members are to appear before the House Committee on ethics and privileges in conjuction with security agencies that are assigned by the law to investigate them.During the plenary Session presided over by the speaker of the house Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya, a member representing Maru North constituency, Yusuf Alhassan Kanoma alleged that the two members were the brain behind the killing of late Muhammad Ahmad, a former member representing Shinkafi constituency in the state House of Assembly through connivance with bandits by telephone conversation which led to his killing .
Kanoma call on the security agencies to fully track all their telephone lines and listened to all their conversations advising his colleagues to suspend them from all House activities for an initial period of three months pending the conclusion of investigations on the two erring House Members .
In his ruling, the speaker Nasiru Magarya approve the request of the House by outrightly suspending the two members for initial period of three months .
Magarya also directed chairman House Committee on ethics and privileges Kabiru Hashimu Dansadau to fully investigate the suspended members and report its findings back to the plenary in the next three months..While expressing his dismay over their alleged involvement in bandictry activities, the speaker also strip them off of their chairmanship of the House standing committees and assigned Yusuf Alhassan Kanoma to oversee works and transport committee chaired by Yusuf Muhammad Anka, and further directed Nasiru Atiku Gora to take charge of humanitarian and social development Committee formally headed by Ibrahim Tukur Bakura.
While reacting against their suspendion, member representing Anka in the state House of Assembly, Yusuf Muhammad Anka said his suspension from the state house of assembly is due to the recent move he initiated to imprach the speaker of the house Mu’azu Magarya ver incapacitation.n
Anka while speaking to journalists disclosed that he is the Chairman of the movement for the impeachment of the speaker that started in the last two months explaining that it is out of these fear that tge speaker chose to come up with the new conspiracy of bsnditry involvement.
He further disclosed that he was threatened by the speaker who earlier confronted him when he heard about the movement for the impeachment.
The lawmaker added that even the Governor personally called and threatened him over the impeachment move, noting that, all effort to let the Governor understand how worst the condition of the members of state house of assembly failed as he refused to give him listening ears.
He added that after some days the Governor sent former Finance minister Bashir Yuguda to broker peace between them and speaker and the entire members who constitute the movement accepted to suspend their intentions because of the intervention of former minister Yugudae
He also debunked the allegation by Kanoma that he and his colleague representing Bakura had run away from taking the new “Oath of self distancing” on armed banditry recently introduced by the Governor.
