transported 250 parcels of Indian Hemp from Edo State to Kano; suspect confesses

Kano state police command while on Highway surveillance patrol arrested a suspected Indian hemp baron Agbo Victor, 33 years old, of Edo State conveying 250 parcels of Dried Leaves suspected to be Indian Hemp valued at N1,750,000:00 packed inside a Toyota Hennessey along Kwanar Dangora, Kiru LGA, a Kaduna – Kano Border town.
The suspect on interrogation confessed that the items packed in the Motor Vehicle boot are 250 parcels of Indian Hemp, explaining that he transported the Indian Hemp from Edo State en route Kano State with intent to deliver it to one Alhaji.

The Alhaji having learned about the arrest of the  suspect escaped to an unknown destination. 
The Commissioner of Police directed the case to be transferred to the Command’s Criminal Investigation Department, Narcotics Section for discreet investigation. 
The suspect will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.
