The Kano State APC Chieftain, Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkareem Zaura popularly known as A. A. Zaura, has issued his message of condolences to Governor Abdulahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State over the death of Alhaji Bashir Tofa.
The statement, issued by his media director, Al-Amin Ciroma, said Tofa’s death was a great loss, not only to Kano, but to the entire country and the world. Adding that Alhaji Bashir was a great stateman and a great mentor to all Nigerians and indeed the world by his articulated ideas and books he authored.
Alhaji Zaura said, no doubt the late Tofa had a special place in the history of our democracy.
He extends the condolence to his immediate family, friends, the entire people of Kano State, and Nigerians as a whole. And prayed for the Almighty Allah to grant him Jannatul Firdausi.
Alhaji Tofa, who died on Monday morning at the age of 74, at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, was the presidential candidate of the defunct National Republican Convention, NRC.
