National Directorate of Employment, (NDE) and Abuja graduates School has commenced its Solar installation maintenance o for unemployed graduates in Bauchi.
Speaking during the commencement of the training on Monday in Bauchi,Malam Abubakar Fikpo, Director-General of NDE, said the training was to explore new areas of job creation and develop a critical sector.
He said the Directorate in Partnership with Abuja Graduates school would train 25 unemployed graduates for five days in the state.
Represented by the NDE state coordinator Alhaji Ali Yaya said power is the bedrock of sustained technological development of any nation.
“NDE will not relent in her efforts towards mass employment generation and to support the Federal Government’s target of attaining 30 percent renewable energy for the country by 2030.” Fikpo said.
He urged the unemployed graduates to use the opportunity of the knowledge acquired to become self-reliant and as well be employers of labour.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries Malam Mohammmed Umar said the beneficiaries are graduates from different universities and polytechnics that are not employed.
“We appreciated FG and the NDE for giving us the rare opportunity by providing skills of solar installation and maintenance that should be a landmark in our future.
“We are assured to make good use of the knowledge acquired to engage in the solar technology development in the state and possibly create job opportunities,” He said.
He said some us have stayed long in the house without anything doing, he added “so with this opportunity that comes our way I don’t think we will misused it,”
