Kano State Police Arrest 2 bandit’s fuel suppliers

Kano state police command have arrested two bandits fuel suppliers and recovered five Jerry Cans of petrol. The command’s PPRO, DSP Abdillahi Haruna Kiyawa has disclosed.
The suspects were arrested by police patrol team at Fagge LGA of the State while acting on intelligence report that that led to interception of two J5 Motor Vehicles loaded with Food Stuffs. 
The five recovered Jerri cans of 25 liters each filled with PMS were concealed inside an empty sack of sugar in one of the vehicles.
The two arrested suspects Musbahu Rabi’u and the driver of the vehicle, Jamilu Abdullahi, 31 and 37 years old respectively are residents of Jibiya local government of Katsina State. 
On interrogation, Jamilu confessed that, he once came to Kano from Katsina and bought PMS in Jerricans and transported it to Jibiya in Katsina State where he sold the produce at an exhobitants rate. 
He also confessed that, he was arrested while trying to transport the PMS for the second time. 
The Commissioner of Police, Kano State, Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, has ordered for discreet investigation, after which the suspect will be charged to court. 
Dikko urge the people of the State to be watchful of their immediate environment and report any suspicion and incidences to the nearest Police Station. 
He also called on Petroleum Filling Station Operators to desist from selling PMS to unknown buyers in large quantities especially in Jerry cans and report any suspicious buyers to the nearest Police Station. 
Rigorous patrol and raids of criminal hideouts and black spots will continue throughout the State, and the Command will sustain the tempo in ensuring safety of lives and properties.
