The Nigerian Security Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) Bauchi Command has deployed 1100 personnel to effectively ensure hitch-free Christmas and new year celebrations in the state.
A statement signed by Mr Garkuwa Y Adamu (SC) Public Relations Officer of NSCDC State Commandant made available to Journalists on Thursday in Bauchi.
“In its effort to ensure a hitch-free Christmas and new year celebrations, the Bauchi State Command of NSCDC deployed 1100 of its officers and men to all the nooks and corners of the State.
“The Commandant Nuraddeen Abdullahi explained that the deployment covers all the worship and recreational centers, black spots, flash points and strategic locations in the State
“To ensure the protection of lives and properties as well as Critical National Assets and Infrastructures,” he said
Adamu added that the command would intensify patrol to nip in the bud any criminal activity capable of jeopardizing the peace being enjoyed in the State.
He said the Commandant also urged all Christian faithfuls to seize the opportunity to pray for peace of the nation and be involved in alms giving in line with the teachings of Jesus Christ.
The Spokesman stressed that the command charged the citizens to be law abiding and go about their normal activities without challenges,
“As well as report any suspicious persons and activities noted in and around them in the state,” he said
