Bauchi APC Congress, Adamu Adamu’s Imposition of Candidates bad omen for democracy – OC Kwano

SANI Muhammad Sani
As controversies continue trailing the just concluded congress of the  All Progressives Change APC in Bauchi State, a political commentator OC Kwano said Minister of Education  Adamu Adamu’s imposition of candidates to lead the state is a bad Omen for Democracy.
Kwano Said Adamu Adamu’s tactics in manipulating the Congress election is in no doubt due to selfish political interest to manipulate the 2023 elections especially the governorship.
“What Adamu Adamu is trying to do is to manouvre the seat of the APC state Chairman to Bauchi Central with the intention of zoning the gubernatorial candidacy to Bauchi North, Katagum zone, that is not Democracy.” Kwano Said
Kwano explained that in any democratic settings, the populace should be given free enviroment to elect aspirants of their choice no matter what zone or political affiliations the aspirant belongs and without bias or rancour.
It is in line with the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria that the governor and his deputy can emerged from the same zone or local government explaining that it is up to the electorate to elect them or do away with them with citizens vote.
He said the people of Bauchi want to resuscitate their political party, the APC and are not ready to allow an individual to destabilised the party structure.

“The flying flag of the APC will be dissimated and flung into deep blue ocean by Adamu Adamu if his excesses is not checked.” Kwano Concluded
