The Nigeria Railway Corporation has suspended train services indefinitely along the Abuja –Kaduna route.
The NRC in a statement on its website on Thursday said the services were suspended for the safety of passengers and crew.
The suspension might not be unconnected to the bomb explosion that disconnect one of the rail track this morning.
The NRC said efforts to restore the train services along that route is ongoing.
The Managing Director of the NRC, Engineer Fidet Okhiria revealed that there was explosives that damaged the rail track between Dutse and Rijana.
“Efforts are currently ongoing to ensure that the train services along the Kaduna-Abuja route are fully restored while security will be improved along that route.”
