A Day Zaura Named “Khadimul -Qur’an”

Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkareem Zaura (A. A. Zaura) is the founder and chief executive of A. A. Zaura foundation, he is also one of the chieftains of the All Progressive Party (APC) in Kano State. Zaura, an international businessman cum politician spent more than a decade in the humanitarian service in his home state and beyond.
 He would always say that his power of motivation is giving back to society and thanking his Lord – Allah Ta’ala, for all favors bestowed on him.
One of the primary activities of his foundation is helping out the needy and vulnerable in society, supporting and empowering women and children. Above all, complements government efforts in reaching out to its target audience. 
During one of his tours around the entire state, Mr. Zaura and his entourage paid a courtesy visit to the Kano State Qur’an and Islamiyah Board where he interacted with the board members drawn from all the 44 local government areas of the state. 
Smartly dressed and optimistic Zaura informed the gathering that he is keen on the successes Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje recorded in the security and educational sectors. He said, the secret behind the safety of Kano State, despite all securities challenges bedeviling the nation, was all because of restructuring the educational sector of Islam. Zaura maintained that education is a source of human liberation, added that any society that promotes education can prosper in all its endeavors. 
His words that moved the gathering was that: “No doubt His Excellency, Governor Ganduje has done well on Islamiyah and Tsangaya Schools across his state. No doubt the success of Kano State government over insecurity matters is because of its restructured policies.”
The APC chieftain also promised to support the board to organize a Qur’anic competition that will be the first of its kind in history. According to Mr. Zaura, the coveted prizes to be won include house, cars, and cash. He charged the board to hasten the competition. He also promised to renovate all Islamic schools within the state. 
Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkareem Zaura donated the sum of N20m to the Islamiyah board to help facilitate some of their pressing matters and renovation of all schools’ dilapidated structures across the state. He employs them to ensure they inspect all structures and ensure compliance. 
The whole gathering was overwhelmed with the young man’s magnanimity, which informed that he is truly one of the very few personalities if given the chance, can regenerate the entire state and make it second to none, not only in education but in all aspects of human endeavors.
Earlier, the chairman of the board, Mallam Gwani Yahuza Gwani Danzarga said no doubt Alhaji Zaura is a blessing to Kano State for his kind heart in helping the less privileged. 
He pointed out that apart from the state government, no individual has ever given his time and resources to support the board except Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkareem Zaura. He thanked the politician and businessman for his magnanimity and the donation of the N20m. And assured Alhaji Zaura that the board will ensure the utilization of the donated funds.
Part of the most interesting part of the event was when the entire board members and leaders came together to crown the young Abdulsalam Abdulkareem Zaura as the ‘Khadimul-Qur’an’ (the custodian of the Holy Qur’an).
The title, according to the Islamic body is a well-deserved honor to Alhaji Zaura, they maintained that he is truly following up the footsteps of Governor Ganduje, who is the ‘Khadimud-Deen’ (the custodian of religion). 
They maintained that by this title, Zaura is the best personality to honor the Qur’anic reciters in the state. More especially the forthcoming competition he is set to organize.
